 Do you have a shop?

We used to have an outlet at Ship Street Indoor Market. However this unfortunately has now closed. We sell our products on-line or at national shows.

 How do you use the wine holder?

Place the bottle neck in the wine holder hole. Let go...it will balance by itself. If you put the bottle neck further through it balances neck down, pull neck back it balances further back.

 Can you use the wine holder once the bottle is opened?

yes, we suggest take the bottle out to pour your drinks then screw the cap back and put the bottle back in the wine holder. It will always balance even when empty. cheers

 Are your products fairly traded?

We endeavour to work only with companies and suppliers that have ethical working practices. Vietnam has very stringent labour laws and we have visited all our suppliers and are satisfied that their workers receive a fair wage for their work. No children are employed by our suppliers.

 Can I order bottle bags especially designed for my organisation / group?

Yes, you are most welcome to email or phone us. We design embroidered images for well known charities for fundraising events as well as corporate clients. You are welcome to email an image for us to work with.

 How much does delivery cost?

The cost for postage and packing is dependent on the weight of the product. This calculation is made as you use the check-out.

 How long does it take for goods to be delivered?

We use Royal Mail ( 3-7 days) or overnight courier depending on your choice at " Checkout".

 How do I look after lacquerware?

We advise our customers to treat lacquer products as they would fine bone china. It is a handmade product and needs to be treated as such. If it is dropped or roughly handled it may chip but unlike china it usually will not break. Small repairs can be made using enamel paint or nail varnish in a suitable colour. Please refer to the Information box for further care advice.

 Do you deliver to where I live?

We deliver to all UK addresses, inc. Channel Islands but exc. BFPO. You can choose any UK address during checkout (inc. another recipient for gifts) but please note that your billing address must match your cardholder statement address. We can deliver to overseas addresses. Please contact us first to confirm delivery costs.

 What is the minmum order for trade/ wholesale ?

£200 ( ex VAT) for lacquerwood £200 ( ex VAT) for bottle bags £200 ( ex VAT) for other custom embroidered bags, wallets etc. This is because we can maintain a good price for you through volume orders.

 What payments do you accept?

We can accept payment by card - Visa, Mastercard, Maestro - (But not Solo/Electron) or by cheque. If paying by card, please ensure that your billing address matches your cardholder statement address. For more details please see our payment details.

 How can I return items?

Should a product not meet your expectations, then simply return it to us within 14 days and we will refund the value of the item. If returning a complete order, we will refund the original delivery charge but not your returning charge. Please see our returns policy for more details.

 Can I order a catalogue?

Silkwood Traders does not currently produce a printed catalogue. The majority of our products are featured online for easy ordering. As we regularly have new products or can only get certain products in small quantities due to the labour-intensive processes involved it is always worth contacting us if there is an item you have seen at a show. We may have it in stock.

 How can I send a gift?

You can easily send gifts from our site by entering the recipient's address together with your personal message at checkout. We will enclose your message as hand-written note with the parcel and send the invoice separately to your billing address at no extra cost.
